Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) explains what is allowed and what is prohibited when using QuizRiots (quizriots.com and related services).
By using QuizRiots (whether or not you create an account), you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. We may update it from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
If you violate this policy, we may remove your content, suspend or terminate your account, or take other appropriate action.
1. Prohibited Activities
You may not use QuizRiots to:
- Illegal or Harmful Content — Create, upload, share, or host quizzes, games, images, text, or other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or violates applicable laws.
- Harm to Minors — Create or share content that is sexually explicit, abusive, or harmful to children under 18. QuizRiots is intended to be a safe and fun platform, especially for schools and families.
- Harassment, Bullying, or Hate Speech — Target, harass, bully, threaten, or demean any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
- Spam or Unsolicited Promotion — Use the platform to send spam, unsolicited messages, or repetitive content. Do not use QuizRiots primarily as an advertising or marketing tool unless you have our prior written permission.
- Intellectual Property Infringement — Upload or share content that violates someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. This includes quizzes copied from other platforms or sources without permission.
- Impersonation or Misrepresentation — Impersonate any person or organization, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Malicious Activity — Attempt to hack, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Services or other users’ experience (including using bots, cheats, or exploits).
- Commercial Misuse (Current Rule) — Charge others money to participate in games you host on QuizRiots, or run large-scale paid events using the free tier. (Paid plans may allow limited commercial use in the future.)
- Adult or Offensive Content — Create or share sexually explicit, pornographic, extremely violent, or highly offensive material.
- Dangerous or Unsafe Challenges — Promote real-world challenges or activities that could cause physical, emotional, or psychological harm.
2. Content Standards
All quizzes, questions, answers, images, and descriptions you create must be:
- Appropriate for a general audience (especially students and families)
- Accurate and not deliberately misleading
- Respectful and kind
Publicly shared quizzes may be reviewed and moderated by us.
3. Platform Rules
- Do not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or bans.
- Do not share your account login with others.
- Do not attempt to bypass any technical restrictions or security measures.
- Respect rate limits and fair usage. Excessive automated use is not allowed.
4. Reporting Violations
If you see content or behavior that violates this policy, please report it to us through our contact page (or through any in-app reporting feature we provide). We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
5. Our Rights
We reserve the right to:
- Review, moderate, or remove any content at our sole discretion.
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.
- Cooperate with law enforcement when required.
This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions and Master Service Agreement. In case of any conflict, the Terms and Conditions take priority.
